Disaster Response Volunteers

Disaster Response Volunteer Opportunities

Whether you're interested in joining our First Response Fleet, our disaster response logistics team, or social media team, we have a volunteer program for you.

First Response Fleet

With the increase in natural disasters across the South Pacific, Sea Mercy and our First Response Fleet have been busy the past 10 years. If you and your vessel are interested in helping us deliver emergency aid (food, shelter, water and medical care) to devastated communities, then consider being a part of our fleet in delivering the following emergency aid assistance:

  • SMART Tarp kits
  • Emergency water (desalination equipment or vessel generation)
  • Food aid supplies
  • Emergency Medical teams

Land-Based Logistics Team

Even if you do not have a vessel, often one of the greatest needs following a disaster is organizing site evaluation reports, working with NGO's, coordinating aid, scheduling vessels and loading our First Response Fleet vessels accordingly.

If you have any of the above talents and time, please consider joining our land-based leadership team.  Having boots on the ground with our island nation partners and assisting their NDMO leadership is vital part of what Sea Mercy provides.

If interested in being a part of Sea Mercy's land-based logistics operations, please scroll to the bottom of this page and register online to learn more!

Social Media Team

As effective as our Disaster Response programs are, one of the greatest challenges is gathering the photos and stories from our fleet members and sharing them with the world. These stories inspire others to either offer in-kind or financial support, or to join the First Response Fleet in the future.

If communication, photography, videography, writing & editing content is a strength of yours, please consider joining our social media team.
