Matson Foundation Renews Support of Sea Mercy

Thank you Matson Foundation!

Matson has been a wonderful partner and supporter of Sea Mercy and our programs in the South Pacific (see below). We are so grateful for their continued support and belief in our organization and volunteers and in other organizations they support across the South Pacific.

Dear Mr. Hackett:

Since our founding in 1882, Matson has supported the needs of the communities we serve in which our employees live and work which include, via our subsidiary Matson South Pacific, the Solomon and Cook Islands, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu, and other nearby Island nations, in addition to our legacy service in the Pacific connecting Hawaii, Guam, the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia.

On behalf of the Matson Foundation, we are pleased to make a second donation to help Sea Mercy continue its service providing free Floating Health Care Clinics (FHCC) for island nations in the Matson South Pacific area via a fleet of large sailing catamarans. Our check in the amount of $5,000 is enclosed, designated to support your 2015 operations. This brings to $10,000 our support for Sea Mercy to date.

We extend our appreciation to you and your fellow volunteer medical professionals and offer best wishes for your continued service to the people of many South Pacific island nations.
