CYCLONE YASA (FIJI) - Ongoing Efforts

It has been an ongoing labor of love for our Disaster Response teams and their efforts following Cyclone Yasa. With multiple return efforts and follow-up relief programs, it will take years for the remote villages to return to pre-Yasa conditions.

With half of their houses and all of their crops destroyed, their fishing gear swept away and 11 fishing boats damaged, the 187 villagers of Yaro on Kia Island could use a helping hand. We are now over halfway towards our fundraising target goal of $8,000 to return to Yaro with material and skilled labour to repair their damaged fishing vessels and to provide more desperately needed fishing equipment.
