Sea Mercy Volunteers!

We have made raising funds for your upcoming rotation fast, professional and very easy. It also is a great way for volunteers who help Sea Mercy to earn some valuable "perks" during your rotation. Here are a few of them:

  • Your own private queen cabin!
  • Bring a spouse/friend/family member with you!
  • Preferred volunteer rotations!
  • Travel reimbursement!

Getting Started

Your Personal Fundraising page is ready for you to activate! Click on the Fundraising Page link for an example of a personal page and how easy and effective it can be to reach out to employers, family and friends to help offset (or eliminate) your volunteer costs on the Floating Health Care Clinic in the South Pacific.

This "personal" webpage, along with our email template, makes fundraising simple, professional and rewarding for those of you who could use a little help. Although it clearly conveys your message, you can modify the existing sample text on your personal webpage to better reflect your personality and style.

To get started with your own personal fundraising page, simply email us the following information:

Last Name:

Once we create your temporary personal page, we'll send you an email with a personalized "email template" and a Sea Mercy brochure for you to use.

Simple & Effective Outreach Ideas

The personal volunteer pages are already gathering donations for those that have begun announcing them. Sea Mercy is here to help you succeed in your 2015 rotation goals, so we wanted to share a few suggestions offered by these volunteers that could help draw attention to your personal page and help to quickly jump start your fundraising efforts:

  • Post your page link (see below) and short message on your Facebook account
  • Personal Message to specific friends on Facebook (use email template)
  • Twitter it (if you have an account)
  • Direct email to friends and family not listed on Facebook
  • Direct email/letter to employers, distributors, suppliers and service providers that you are familiar with and attached a Sea Mercy brochure
  • Post a link to your page on industry forums/communities and a message as to what your goals and dreams are
  • Email your local newspaper about what you are doing

Please feel free to call or email us with any questions.
